I read Dust Bowl a few days ago and really enjoyed it. I’d have to say my favorite graphic novel/manga this year was the Bakuman series, so good. I loved the Screaming Staircase by Jonathan Stroud for MG and Poison Princess by Kresley Cole was an awesome book and audio for YA.
As for picture books, I haven’t read a ton yet, but I love One by Kathryn Otoshi. Such a moving story that gets kids talking.
I have enjoyed Yummy and Faithful Elephants as well as all the YA titles you have read. Your list is all inclusive and I like that some are before 2013 and you have shared ones to be published in 2014, thank you!
Thank YOU for checking out my list 🙂
The Dust Bowl surprised me–I hadn’t read any nonfiction about it that was BORING and this one was not.
Thank you for all of the recommendations! I hadn’t read anything you mentioned! Thank you.
